He is a Ghanaian , Islamic Scholar, Arabist, , Librarian, Translator/Interpreter , Conference Manager and philanthropist. An alumnus of both Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt ,1966-1972 and the American University in Cairo, 1970/ 1972. , Library and Archival Studies , University Of Ghana , Legon.1973/1974.Holder of Bachelor Degree in Languages, Translation, Islamic Studies, (Al-Azhar University)Post-graduate studies in Librarianship and Archival Studies Proficiency Certificate in Advanced Studies in Translation and Interpretation (The American University in Cairo)1970- 1972.Intensive French Language Course, Paul Valery University III, Montpellier , France, July –August, 1982.
Recruited in !980 by the then Organization of African Unity (OAU) as a translator/interpreter within the OAU Coordinating Committee for the Liberation of Africa (AFLICO), Dares Salaam, Tanzania during the liberation struggle in Southern Africa. Took part as a translator in all the sessions of the Standing Committees and the Liberation Committee and served in different capacities which culminated in the independence of Zimbabwe (Southern Rhodesia) in 980 and Namibia (South West Africa) in 1990 and South Africa in 1992.
Transferred to OAU/AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia after the liberation of South Africa and the elimination of apartheid in 1992 and served as staff member and worked in different capacities within the Directorate of Conference Management and Publications from 1992-2007. Retired officially from the services of the African Union 2007, but continued to serve on contract within the Directorate until 2019. Travelled across many regions of Africa, Middle East, Europe America, Russia and China. Worked across many cultural divides and interacted with them.
Selected by the then AU Commission to be part of its key departments when Accra was chosen in 2019 to host the Headquarters of the newly established AfCFTA . Worked as one of the Focal persons of the AU and worked with their Ghanaian counterpart, the Ministry of Trade to set up the AfCFTA Secretariat and put in place offices and equipment prior to the kick-start of trading in 2020 . Served as Head of Conference Management within the Operational Support Team for 10 months
Most of the money being donated are being used for building up the Makaranta and the rest are also being used for the causes of our foundation.
